3 days of ski touring

Accommodation at Posada del Rio Lodge.

 

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO  TEMUCO - DRIVE TO MALALCAHUELLO
Arrival to Temuco. Our guide will pick you up at Temuco airport and drive to Malalcahuello (2 hours). Lodging at Posada del Rio Lodge. Brieffing and dinner. (www.posadadelrio.cl)

DAY 2: SKI LONQUIMAY VOLCANO (3.122M)
Breakfast at Posada del Rio Lodge, Short drive to the base of Lonquimay Volcano. Total ascent from ski area 1.200m.
Climb Lonquimay volcano, total ascent gain 1,200m. , contemplate our first great panoramic of Araucania volcanoes area, Tolhuaca volcano, Llaima, Sierra Nevada, Copahue and Callaqui.
After reach the summit, we start an Amazing down hill in a wide area of this volcano. Back to our mountain Lodge. Hot tub besides our river. Dinner

DAY 3: SKI TRAVERSER ARENALES - CAUTIN
Total ascent from ski area 690m.
Breakfast. Drive to Lonquimay village, crossing Las Raices tunnel. Arrival to Arenales. Start our ski long traverse towards west direction first climbing Arenaes peak, then descend to Cautin Valley and finally climbing Cautin hill and decend to Corralco Area. Here our driver will waiting for us to drive to our Lodge. Rest and dinner.

DAY 4: LLAIMA VOLCANO (3.100M.)
Total ascent gain 1.700m.
Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Congullio park, place where our trip begin. It´s a long traverse until the base of the volcano, but even if do not have enough time to reach this summit Llaima offer us a great ski. Down hill through west side of the volcano towards Araucarias Ski area. Drive back to our Lodge. Dinner and hot tub.

 

Day 5:

Option 1: End of services. Transfer to Temuco Airport.
