 QUEBRADA DE LOS CEDROS - ALPAMAYO

FROM APRIL TO SEPTEMBER.
MINIMUM: TWO PERSONS.

Length: 13 days

A Fine network of footpaths winds through pretty valleys connected with more than 40 summits on the 5,000 meters of height.
In our 10 days trekking we will walk through the gorges of the Cordillera Blanca Mountain range, enjoying wonderful sunny days, passing by cultivated small farms and typical Andean towns with is friendly residents. Next to all these things, we will delight with excellent views of several summits and glaciers like snowed Pyramid of Alpamayo and Huascarán (6,768 ms.), the highest summit of Peru. In this trip we will reach four mountain pass of approximately 4,500 mts. enjoying colorful and cozy places of camping at altitudes from 3.800 mts. to 4.000 mts.

Day 1 Arrival to Lima.
Pick up at the airport, and ground transfer to Hotel in Lima.
Day 2 : Ground transfer Lima to Huaráz.
The transfer, taking the Pan-American high way to north side from Lima until the Lima and Ancash department’s boundary in the district of  Paramonga, from here we’ll start to climb the Cordillera Negra in its west side with direction to the highest pass from today Conococha 4500 masl. Here we’ll find a small peasant village called Conococaha next to this village we will find a lake with the same name. From here we can already appreciate the views where the Cordillera Blanca Starts, and just 50 kilometers aprox south from the Cordillera Blanca lies Cordillera Huayhuash and we can see only its peaks if there is no cloud. From Conococha we have to go down along the Santa River that runs through the Callejon de Huaylas until Huaraz. At 6pm aprox we will arrive and immediately we’ll transfer the passengers into the selected Hotel in Huaraz.
Day 3 : Huaráz - Hualcayán, installation of camping. Overnight.
Day 4 : Beginning of the Trekking, camping in Huishcash.
Day 5 : Trek to Osoruri.
Day 6 : Trek by the Gorge of Alpamayo until Jancarurish.
Day 7 : Trek to Huilca.
Day 8 : Trek to Jancapampa.
Day 9 : Trek to Laguna Huecrococha.
Day 10 : Trek until la Laguna de Tuctu crossing the passage of Pucaraju.
Day 11 : Trek until Vaquería. Return to Huaraz in private light truck.
Day 12 : Back to Lima, Hotel.
Ground transfer to Lima.
Day 13 : Fly back.
Private transfer to airport.
