This amazing trip for trekkers, gives you one of the most adventure experience in Patagonia. This is a high level trekking where you can enjoy a mountaineering experience. Most of this trip goes over Southern Patagonian ice field. We start in Argentina and cross a imaginary border line to go on into Chilean ice Fields. We need to use some extra technical equipment such as snow shoes, crampons, harness and ice axe.
This program can start from:
- Buenos Aires to El Calafate (Argentina) 10 days trip (starting from Day 2 of our program)
- Punta Arenas (Chile) 12 days trip.

Day 1: Arrival to Punta Arenas.
Arrival in the morning to city of Punta Arenas where our guide will await you. Transfer to Puerto Natales in private vehicle, three-hour drive through Patagonian pampa. Lodging in Puerto Natales. Dinner and meeting to discuss trip program. Dinner.

Day 2: 1) For our customers that arrives from Punta Arenas (Chile).
Puerto Natales - Calafate - El Chalten.

Leave Puerto Natales in the morning in regular bus to El Calafate. From here our private vehicle will drive us to El Chalten. Hotel.

2) For customers that arrives from Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Buenos Aires - Calafate - Chalten.
Our guide will await you at El Calafate airport. Drive in a private vehicle to El Chalten. Hotel.

Day 3: Chalten – Los Glaciares National Park.
After our breakfast in our hostel in Chalten, we drive to río eléctrico, located 15 kilometers from Chalten, here is where we start our trek through a beech forest trees like Lengas and Coihue, after 3 hours walking go into a glacier rock valley, cross Pollone river and then walk at one side of Lago Electrico we arrive at  “la Playita”, place for our camping. Set up our tents. Snack and dinner.
Total 6 hours.

Day 4: Refugio Eduardo Garcia Soto.
Breakfast. Today we will step on the glacier, hiking Marconi Glacier pass, the entrance for South ice field, to go in at magestic snow area with great views to Fitz Roy, Gorra Blanca and Pollone peaks. Arrival at Refuge. Snack and dinner.

Day 5: Circo de los altares.
Breakfast. Today we will use our snow shoes. Walking near Fitz Roy massif until arrive at valley of Circo de los Altares. This is a place surrounded by craggy mountains. Great view of Cerro Torre and his magnificent snow cover at top. Set up our camp. Snack and dinner.
Total 5-6 hours
Day 6: Campamento Laguna Ferrari.
Breakfast. This is one the most beautiful days with a clear day. We walk with our snow shoes for over 4 hours until arrive at Viedma moraine. Here we will take off our snow equipment to continue until Laguna Ferrari.Set up our camp. Snack and dinner.
Total 6 hours.

Day 7: Campamento Río Tunel.
Breakfast. From Laguna Ferrari we hike up until altitude of 1.500m, here is our exit gate of Southern Ice Field valley, here is Paso del Viento (mountain pass), continue down and cross Tunel River. After that, we continue our trek down until a Nothofagus forest. Set up our camp sheltered by trees. Snack and dinner.
Total 6-7 hours.
Day 8: El Chaltén.
Breakfast. From our camp we start our last day to arrive at our starting point, El Chalten. Six hours walk crossing forest and typical Patagonian fields. Arrive at our cozy room. Dinner.
Total 6 hours.
Day 9-10: Reserve extra days.
We reserve two days in case of bad weather.
If weather are perfect along the trip we can use these days in the mountain. Example, Approach or climb Gorra Blanca peak.
If we arrive at day 8 at Chalten without using extra days, is not include in our budget two extra nights in hotel and meals.
Some options:
- Hike to Laguna de Los Tres (Fitz Roy Lookout)
- Hike to Mirador Maestri (Cerro Torre lookout)
- Leave El Chalten
Day 11: Chalten - Calafate - Puerto Natales.
Breakfast. Private transfer to El Calafate. Customers that flight from El Calafate will be leaved at the airport.
Customers that continue to Puerto Natales (Chile) will take regular bus. Arrival at our Hotel.
 
Day 12: Puerto Natales – Punta Arenas airport.
private transfer to Punta Arenas airport.

Service includes:

· Mountain Guide
· Porters for carry tents, food, etc (common equipment)
· Two hotel nights in Puerto Natales with breakfast (based in Double room) for people that comes from Punta Arenas.
· 7 nights of camping in Torres del Paine (tent)

· Private terrestrial transportation, except Puerto Natales-Calafate-Puerto Natales (regular bus)
· Los Glaciares entrance fee
· All meals during twe are in the trek
(breakfast, box lunch and dinner)
