El Plomo summit 17,815 ft. (5.430 mts.), is the highest mountain viewed from Santiago. Formerly visited by the Incas to make his rituals, it is an incomparable beauty. Technical routes (with ice and snow climbing passages) and non technical route we can do to reach this top. On is normal route not require a great previous mountain experience, only good physical condition.

Day 1: Arrival Santiago.
Pick up at the airport and transfer at the hotel in Santiago. Here our guide will check your mountaineering equipment
Day 2: Santiago - Valle Nevado.
Our objective is reach the imposing summit of El Plomo (17,815 ft. - 5,430 mts.). Ground transfer from Santiago to Valle Nevado ski resort, 1,5 hours. Here we find our Mules that will carry our equipment until Piedra Numerada place of our first camp at 3,330m. Dinner.
Day 3: Camp La Olla.
Breakfast in the morning. Ascent towards La Olla 13,124 ft. (4.000m), El Plomo base camp, located at the end of the valley. From here we have an impressive view of the Iver glacier (technical ice route), and our normal route for climb this mountain at the right side of the mountain, (no technical).
Day 4: Summit day. Before sunshine, with our head lamps we will leave our camp. There are about 6 hours until the summit. After reach the top of El Plomo and observing imposing summits like Aconcagua, Juncal, Tupungato, and Altar-Paloma, etc., we will descend via normal route at our base camp.

Day 5: Walk down to Valle Nevado and ground transfer to Santiago. Hotel.
